Frostnip and Frostbite

Frostnip and Frostbite are very common cold injuries. If your hands or extremities are red and numb, it's frostnip. Try to keep the affected parts warm. If you are using a fire or a heater, use an unaffected body part to measure a safe distance from the heat source.

If you have blisters, peeling, swelling, or in severe cases, blackened areas and/or movement loss, that is frostbite, and you should go to a doctor immediately.
